It used to be a Catholic convent for 131 years, known as the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ) and convent quarters known as Caldwell House. My school, Saint Nicholas Girls' School, established in 1933, used to be in this premises at the town convent since 1949 when the school was incorporated in the convent grounds.
